The Goa Professional League resumed with an intense clash at the Nagoa Panchayat Ground, where Vasco SC secured a hard-fought victory against Sporting Clube de Goa, clinching a narrow 1-0 win. The lone goal of the match came in the 56th minute, courtesy of the talented forward Ningthoujam Singh of Vasco SC.

Sporting Clube de Goa made several early attempts from the right flank, with Marcus Masacrenhas delivering perfect crosses into the area. However, on both occasions, Vasco's goalkeeper Nabakumar Ghosh thwarted the efforts before Lloyd Cardozo could make any contact.

Surviving a scare at the half-hour mark, Sporting Clube de Goa saw Vasco's Lalnunzama intercept Joyson Coutinho's back pass, but Sporting's goalkeeper Bhaskar came off his line to block any potential threat.

In the second half, Sporting Clube created a significant chance as Biswa Darjee's pass found Lloyd Cardozo, whose goal-bound shot was saved by the Vasco SC keeper. However, Vasco SC broke the deadlock in the 56th minute when Lalnunzama delivered a pass to Ningthoujam Olen Singh, who calmly slotted the ball into the bottom right corner.

Despite Sporting Clube's continuous efforts, including attempts from Samuel Costa and Dattaraj, they couldn't find the equalizer. In the dying minutes, Sporting Clube de Goa's goalkeeper, Nabakumar Ghosh, received a yellow card, highlighting the physicality of the encounter.

In another fixture at Ella Ground, Panjim Footballers faced a 1-3 defeat against FC Goa.
