Ivon Costa, Vidipt Dua, Jonas Colaco, and Lloyd Cardozo were the stars of the show for Sporting, each finding the back of the net, while Vasco's lone goal came through Olen Singh.

Sporting's win sees close the gap, with 37 points from 20 games, just two points behind leaders Sesa FA, who have played one game more.

The match started with Vasco taking the game to Sporting, looking bright and threatening in the opening exchanges. However, Sporting's experienced defender Adil Khan marshaled his backline superbly, keeping the Vasco attack at bay.

It was against the run of play that Sporting broke the deadlock in the 19th minute. A pinpoint cross from Joyson Coutinho found the head of Ivon Costa, who made no mistake in finding the net.

Vasco's Olen Singh quickly equalized, seizing on a midfield turnover and slotting the ball past the Sporting goalkeeper with composure.

Olen had also scored the winner when the teams met in the first leg.

Undeterred, Sporting regained their composure and started to control the tempo of the game. Just before the break, Lloyd Cardozo set up Siddarth, but the midfielder's powerful effort was bravely blocked by the Vasco keeper.

Sporting's persistence paid off 10 minutes into the second half, as Liston Cardozo's cross found the head of Vidipt Dua, who guided the ball into the back of the net to restore Sporting's lead.

Vidipt came close to adding another, but his attempt was thwarted by the Vasco custodian. In the 80th minute, Lloyd Cardozo's dangerous cross was tapped in by substitute Jonas Colaco, making it 3-1 to Sporting.

Two minutes later, the tireless Lloyd Cardozo capped off a comprehensive 4-1 win for Sporting Clube de Goa.
