Sporting Clube de Goa and Cortalim Villagers played out a pulsating 4-4 draw in the GFA Goa Professional League at the Benaulim ground on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Sesa FA's fightback fell short as they were edged out 2-1 by Geno FC at Sirsaim ground.

Sporting came out firing, with Vidipt Dua's first-half header canceling out Ronil Azavedo's early opener for Cortalim. However, defensive frailties haunted the Goan giants as they conceded twice quickly after the break - Michael Dias with a curler and Denil Rebello from the penalty spot after Alister Anthony's handball.

But Sporting refused to lie down. New halftime attackers Mark Carvalho and Alister Anthony injected life into their offense. Carvalho headed home from a free-kick early in the second half, and Anthony put Sporting ahead with a delightful chip over the keeper. Just when victory seemed assured, disaster struck again for Sporting as Denil converted a penalty. Velroy Carvalho then completed Cortalim's comeback with ten minutes left.

Drama wasn't over though! Deep into injury time, Rohan Rodrigues saved the day for Sporting with a composed finish, securing a dramatic share of the spoils.

Meanwhile, at Sirsaim, Sesa FA couldn't overcome a sluggish start against Geno FC. Mohammed Faheez and an own goal from Myran Pereira put Geno FC in a commanding position before halftime. Joshua D'Silva pulled one back for Sesa FA in the second half, but it proved to be a consolation as Geno FC held on for the win.
