In a spectacular showcase of skill and dominance, Sporting Clube de Goa delivered a commanding performance against Guardian Angel Sports Club in the Goa Professional League at the Nagoa ground on Thursday. The match unfolded with a flurry of goals as Lloyd Cardozo (25’), Joel Colaco (79’), Marcus Mascarenhas (61’), and Mark Carvalho found the back of the net for the triumphant Sporting Clube de Goa.

Sporting Clube de Goa, now standing at an impressive 30 points from 15 games, exhibited early attacking prowess in the 21st minute. Samuel Costa's electrifying cross into the box seemed destined for the far post, but Guardian Angel SC's keeper, Oswin Rodrigues, made a remarkable save, thwarting what could have been an early breakthrough. Just moments later, Lloyd Cardozo orchestrated another opportunity with a threatening cross, although Lloyd Mascarenhas unfortunately shot wide.

The turning point of the game occurred in the 25th minute when Kunal's dangerous ball into the box was cleared, only to fall perfectly for Lloyd Cardozo. The striker confidently slammed it past the Guardian Angel SC keeper, putting Sporting Clube in the lead.

As the second half commenced, Lloyd Carodozo delivered a well-placed cross, but Marcus's header went wide, maintaining the intensity of the match. Guardian Angel SC struggled to create opportunities, with their attempts from distance falling short. Sporting Clube's goalkeeper skillfully handled Gilbert Oliveira's freekick opportunity, maintaining a solid defense.

Sporting Clube de Goa extended their lead in the 61st minute through a brilliantly executed set-piece by Samuel and Sidharth Kundaikar. Although Joel Colaco's initial header was blocked by the Guardian Angel keeper, Oswin, the persistent Joel managed to score on the rebound.

The third goal for Sporting Clube materialized when Sidharth Kundaikar set up Ivon Costa. Although the keeper saved Ivon's shot, Marcus Mascarenhas was opportunely positioned to convert the rebound, solidifying Sporting Clube's dominance.

In the latter stages of the game, Sporting Clube de Goa was awarded a penalty after Fulganco's challenge on Mark Carvalho inside the box. Mark expertly converted the penalty, leaving the Guardian Angel SC keeper with no chance as the ball confidently found the back of the net.
