Sesa Football Academy and Churchill Brothers FC secured victories in their respective matches, while Pax of Nagoa were held to a goalless draw in the GFA Goa Professional League on Tuesday.

Sesa FA outplayed Sporting Clube 3-1, and Churchill Brothers narrowly defeated Calangute Association 2-1, while Pax of Nagoa shared a goalless draw with Guardian Angel SC.

At Tilak Maidan, Sesa had an early shot on goal and managed to break the deadlock in the 18th minute when Clencio Pinto entered the box and played a cut-back pass to Shridarnath Gawas for a simple tap-in. Sporting Clube had to wait until the 49th minute for Akeraj Martins to score the equalizer.

However, Sporting had themselves to blame for conceding the second goal. Just when they were gaining momentum in the game, defender Dhiraj Chouhan conceded a silly penalty by bringing down Joshua D’Silva in the box. Joshua stepped up and coolly converted the spot kick.

Joshua then scored the third in stoppage time with a low grounder, giving no chance for Sporting Clube's Bhaskar Jalmi.

Meanwhile, at SAG ground Benaulim, Trijoy Dias and Alent Colaco found the net for Churchill Brothers in their 2-1 victory against Calangute. Calangute's skipper, Melvin Lobo, scored a goal for his team.

At Nagoa, Guardian Angel SC and Pax of Nagoa played to a goalless draw.
