Piedade YA emerge champions

Piedade Youth Association were crowned champions of the GFA Third Division League Ilhas Zone on Sunday, securing an unbeaten run throughout the season. Their final match, played at Agassaim ground, ended in a 1-1 draw against Kevnem SC. Kevnem struck first in the 61st minute with Pratham Gawas finding the back of the net.

However, Piedade responded swiftly, leveling the score just six minutes later through Aditya Vaigankar’s equalizer. The result ensured Piedade finished the league with 28 points, having won nine of their ten matches and drawing just once.

Their dominant campaign saw them top the table, unbeaten and in control throughout, with the draw in their final game serving as a testament to their resilience. Piedade's performance throughout the season earned them the well-deserved title as they proved to be the standout team in the Ilhas Zone.
