Pax of Nagoa, Sesa FA shine in Goa Professional League Matches

Pax of Nagoa and Sesa FA showcased stellar performances in their respective Goa Professional League encounters on Friday.

Pax of Nagoa pulled off a remarkable 2-0 victory against Dempo SC, propelling them to the top of the table. Playing at their fortress, Nagoa initially started the match at a slower pace as Dempo SC launched early attacks on goal. B Shendre had a couple of chances before Aaron Bareto attempted a long-range shot. In the first half, Dempo SC had a few more opportunities, but Richard Fernandes couldn't beat Nagoa keeper Ozen Silva.

In the second half, B Shendre missed a golden opportunity with his header going off target. However, missed chances proved costly for Dempo as Nagoa took the lead from a set-piece. Shubert Pereira headed the ball into the net after Dylan saved Nickson Castanha’s free-kick. In the dying minutes, Velroy doubled the lead, securing a convincing win for Pax of Nagoa.

In another thrilling match at Sirsaim ground, Chaitan Dabholkar’s brace led Sesa FA to a 3-2 victory over FC Goa. Omkar Shetgaonkar added another goal for Sesa FA, while FC Goa scored through Deeshank Kunkalikar and Lemmet Tangvah. FC Goa’s Leewan Castanha received marching orders after picking up double bookings in the 83rd minute.

In the GFA U15 League, South Goa United edged past Salgaocar FC 2-1, FC Goa defeated FC YFA 3-0, and Guardian Angel SC won 3-2 against Churchill Bros.

In the GFA U13 Div II, Don Bosco Fatorda eased past Salcete FC 5-1, and Verna SC beat Navelim Villagers Union 5-4.

In GFA Second Division action, UB Ambaulim dominated United Club of Telaulim with a resounding 9-1 victory, while Deao SC secured a 3-2 win against Our Lady of Gloria SC.
