The Goa Football Association (GFA) is set to host a webinar tailored for coaches across the state. The webinar scheduled to be held on October 27, aims to empower coaches with the latest insights into evolving youth football standards and techniques to maximize player potential.

October 27: Football Coaching Webinar by Mark Savvides

Mark Savvides, Director of Coaching at Alameda Soccer Club, will lead the first webinar titled 'Football Coaching Webinar.' Savvides, a renowned expert in the field, will delve into essential coaching methodologies tailored to the changing landscape of youth football. The seminar will shed light on the recent modifications made by All India Football Federation (AIFF), including the transition to 9v9 and 7v7 formats for U-15 and U-13 categories respectively. The aim is to equip coaches with a profound understanding of these formats, ensuring they can effectively prepare their teams for these adjustments.

All coaches who have completed their Licences from D to A, can attend the webinar. 

October 28: Enhancing Player Performance Through Sports Psychology, (Seminar)

October 28, will feature a seminar titled 'Learn How to Improvise Player Performance Using Sports Psychology,' conducted by Aysha Sharma, an Integrated Psychotherapist at The International Centre, Dona Paula. Sharma will share valuable insights into the application of sports psychology techniques to enhance the mental and emotional aspects of player performance. Coaches attending this session will gain crucial knowledge on motivating players, building resilience, and optimizing mental focus, all of which are integral to nurturing young talent.

Savio Medeira, Chairman of the Technical Committee of the Goa Football Association, emphasized the importance of these webinars in helping coaches adapt to the recent changes introduced by AIFF. Additionally, the GFA President, Dr. Caitano Fernandes, expressed the organization's eagerness to support coaches in upgrading their knowledge through license renewals, ensuring they stay abreast of the latest trends and methodologies in the sport.
