FC Goa and Vasco Sports Club emerged victorious in similar 1-0 encounters as the Goa Professional League witnessed an action-packed weekend of football.

At the Sesa Football Academy ground, FC Goa secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Pax of Nagoa SC. The opening half was a tense affair, with both teams creating chances but failing to convert.

FC Goa's goalkeeper, Bob Raj, played a crucial role in denying a close-range effort, while Velroy Fernandes from Pax of Nagoa rattled the post with a fierce shot.

The second half saw sustained pressure from FC Goa, with Bryson Pereira and Malsawmtluanga coming close to scoring. Finally, in the 62nd minute, Gogocha Chungkham's powerful header from a corner kick found the back of the net, securing a narrow 1-0 victory for FC Goa.

The match's closing stages saw heightened intensity, marked by yellow cards for Akash Oraow and Aditya Salgaonkar of FC Goa, as well as Wendell Coelho for Pax of Nagoa.

Meanwhile, Vasco Sports Club displayed defensive resilience and clinical finishing in their 1-0 triumph over Geno FC at the SAG Ground in Benaulim.

Nitish Hazra's 25th-minute strike, a simple tap-in off a corner, proved to be the decisive moment. Despite Momocha Singh's red card in the 77th minute, reducing Vasco to ten men, their disciplined defense held firm against Geno FC's attempts to equalize. Geno FC's Lenstan Afonso and Gautam Dias received yellow cards, reflecting their mounting frustration.
