Likson Rebelo scored a hat trick as FC Goa ran rampant in a 6-0 thrashing of Young Boys of Tonca in their Goa Professional League encounter at the Tilak Maidan on Tuesday.

The onslaught began right from the first whistle as Lalthangliana tapped in a pinpoint Bryson Pereira cross in the opening minute to give FC Goa a dream start. The floodgates then opened with striker Likson Rebelo bagging a magnificent hat-trick to blow Young Boys away before halftime.

Rebelo doubled the lead in the 20th minute with a nod-in off a Vellington flank cross. He smelled blood soon after, pouncing on a Zozoa through ball to make it 3-0 just before the half-hour mark. The Young Boys defense was then caught napping again as Rebelo capitalized on a loose ball to complete a first-half hat-trick and a 4-0 demolition job.

There was no let up from the rampant FC Goa after the interval. Lalthangliana helped himself to a second goal in the 71st minute as substitute Saish Gaunkar stroked home the sixth to put the final nail in the coffin at stoppage time.
