FC Goa ran riot against ten-man Vasco SC, thrashing them 5-0 in a dominant display at the Benaulim ground on Thursday in the GFA Professional League.

The turning point of the match arrived early in the 13th minute when Vasco SC's goalkeeper was shown a straight red card for a rash challenge outside the box. FC Goa capitalized on the numerical advantage almost immediately, with striker Likson Rebello putting them ahead in the 21st minute.

Vasco SC, forced to play with a makeshift goalkeeper, struggled to contain FC Goa's attacking pressure. Vellington Fernandes orchestrated the second goal just before halftime, threading a precise through ball to Likson, who doubled their lead with a composed finish.

The second half mirrored the first, with FC Goa dictating the tempo. Likson completed his hat-trick five minutes after the restart, tapping in a cross from FC Goa's number 14 after a driving run down the left flank. He wasn't done there, adding his fourth goal in the 54th minute, converting a neat pass from number 60 with a clinical finish.

Likson turned provider in the 65th minute, whipping in a cross that was expertly headed home by Lalthangliana, extending their lead to an unassailable 5-0. Despite valiant efforts from Vasco SC to create chances with a depleted squad, FC Goa's defense remained resolute, securing a comprehensive victory.
