Dempo SC record thrilling win

 Dempo SC extended their unbeaten run to eight games with a gripping 2-1 victory over Churchill Bros. The match, pivotal for both teams, saw Dempo SC showcase their indomitable spirit and tactical acumen, moving them to a commanding 20 points from eight outings.

The game opened with a strategic midfield tussle until the 20th minute when Sairon Albuquerque's freekick spectacularly bounced off the crossbar and into the net, giving Dempo SC the lead. Churchill Bros answered with fervor, nearly equalizing multiple times, only to be denied by the woodwork and Dempo's staunch defense.

The second half intensified when Dempo SC was reduced to ten men following Pratik's dismissal with a straight red. The drama peaked in the 90th minute when Shreyash unleashed a magnificent long-range shot, securing the lead and the win for Dempo SC.

Churchill Bros fought valiantly but couldn't capitalize on their chances, remaining on 12 points after the same number of games. Dempo SC’s Sairon was named the player of the match and the award was presented by Rajesh Hundekar, Dempo Senior team Physiotherapist.

 In GFA 2nd Division League, Guirdolim Club downed Carmel SC 2-0. Parish Youth Nuvem and St. Anthony SC Assolda shared the spoils in 2-2 draw.

In GFA U-13 Division II, YSC Benaulim bet Wilred Leisure 17-2. Canacona SCC beat Union of Chinchinim Villagers 9-1.

GFA 3rd Division League, Ace SA and Patrong SC played out a thrilling 3-3 draw.
