Dempo SC and Young Boys of Tonca battled to a goalless draw in a Goa Professional League match at Duler Stadium, Mapusa on Saturday.

The match witnessed a flurry of action, with Vieri Colaco leading the charge for Dempo. Colaco fired the first significant shot on goal, but YBT's resilient captain and goalkeeper, Sourav Chakraborty, threw himself into the line of fire, making a crucial save.

Dempo showcased superior control in midfield, creating opportunities primarily from corners and long balls. Laxmanrao Rane had a golden opportunity when a well-placed pass reached him, but unfortunately, his shot veered wide of the target.

On the flip side, YBT struggled to breach the steadfast Dempo defense. El Minhao Kilong came close early on, almost breaking free from his marker, but the relentless pressure from Dempo's Faseen P. K forced him to send his shot over the crossbar.

Dempo continued to press, with Pratik Naik attempting a header inside the box, narrowly missing the mark. His teammate, Saiesh Bagkar, made a valiant effort with a powerful header, but Dempo couldn't find the elusive breakthrough.

The remainder of the match followed a similar pattern, with Dempo SC launching agonizingly close shots but failing to convert them into goals. Arnold Oliveira managed to beat the YBT goalkeeper, who charged forward, only to send the ball soaring over the crossbar. Vieri Colaco came inches from scoring with another attempt, and Necio Fernandes made a late push with a shot and header in the closing minutes of regulation time.
