Trijoy Dias scored a hat-trick to help Churchill Brothers FC register a huge 6-2 win over Young Boys of Tonca SC in Goa Professional League at SAG ground, Benaulim.

Trijoy Dias emerged as the hero of the match by scoring a remarkable hat-trick. Despite being overlooked in the I-League campaign, Trijoy showcased his prowess and hunger for goals, proving to be a valuable asset for Churchill Brothers in the Goa Pro League.

The Red Machines wasted no time in asserting their authority on the game, opening the scoring in the 11th minute. Mackenzie Fernandes delivered a precise long ball from the right back, finding Trijoy in the opponent's territory. With deft control, Trijoy rounded off the keeper to give Churchill Bros an early lead.

Trijoy continued to shine, doubling the lead just before the halftime break. Mackenzie Fernandes once again played a crucial role, providing an assist that allowed Trijoy to easily tap the ball into the net.

Young Boys of Tonca SC managed to pull a goal back in the 59th minute through Harshad Naik, injecting a brief moment of hope. However, Trijoy quickly extinguished any comeback aspirations by completing his hat-trick in the 62nd minute. Jobern Cardozo contributed with an assist, and Trijoy clinically placed the ball in the far right corner.

With this impressive win, Churchill Brothers FC claimed the top spot on the league table after four games, accumulating eight points. In contrast, Young Boys of Tonca SC find themselves in the 11th spot with just one point from three matches.

A two-goal blitz from Chaitan Komarpant enabled Geno FC record a comfortable 4-1 win over Calangute Association in the GFA Pro League at Duler Stadium, Mapusa.

The early moments of the game set the tone for Geno FC's dominance, as Abelson Jachi found the back of the net in the 5th minute, giving his team an early lead. Calangute Association struggled to contain Geno FC's attacking flair, and their defense was breached once again in the 15th minute when Chaitan Komarpant doubled the lead with a clinical finish.

As the first half progressed, Geno FC continued to dictate the tempo, creating several goal-scoring opportunities.

The second half saw Geno FC maintain their attacking intensity, and Meinam Musharaf added to Calangute Association's misery with a well-taken goal in the 54th minute. Despite the deficit, Calangute Association fought hard to make a comeback, but Geno FC's resolute defense held firm.

Calangute Association managed to pull one back in the dying moments of the game when Richard Cardoz scored in the 90+6th minute, providing a brief moment of consolation for the visitors. However, it was too little too late to alter the course of the match. Calangute Association's defense faced relentless pressure, and their task became even more challenging when Chaitan Komarpant struck again in the 90+7th minute, completing his brace and sealing a comprehensive victory for Geno FC.

With this emphatic victory, Geno FC climbed to the eighth spot in the GFA Pro League standings, accumulating five points from three games. Meanwhile, Calangute Association finds themselves in the seventh position with six points from three games.
