BAFF emerged champions of the GFA Third Division Bardez Zone play-off final, showcasing their dominance with a resounding 5-0 victory over Sangolda Lightning, at Duler Stadium, Mapusa.

 The match witnessed an exceptional performance from the BAFF squad, with five goals that left their opponents struggling to keep.

upChandan Govenkar was the hero of the game scoring two goals for the winners.

Sanket Pal set the tone early in the game, opening the scoring in the 9th minute. Chandan Govenkar extended the lead with goals in the 22nd and 62nd minutes, while Saish Kavlekar added to Sangolda Lightning's misery with a brilliant strike in the 58th minute. Sanket Jotkar sealed the victory for BAFF with a goal in the 64th minute.

BAFF's defense remained rock solid throughout the match, denying Sangolda Lightning any chance to respond. The only yellow card of the game went to Shivam Pandey of Sangolda Lightning in the 53rd minute.

GFA President Dr. Caitano Fernandes presented the trophy to the winners in the presence of other GFA members and club officials.

Earlier, in the third place match, Valpoi beat Xetrapal SC 3-2.
